Quick start: your first interactive story in 10 minutes
A Nexzones work is an interactive video story: viewers watch video and make choices at key moments; the plot branches accordingly. A minimal playable story takes four steps.
Fastest way to learn: when creating a project choose “Example: Ruins Adventure” and dissect a complete working story alongside this page.
Step 1: upload videos
Open the media library from the toolbar and drop your clips in. Each scene maps to one video segment — plan one for the opening and one per branch.
Step 2: build the structure
In “Story structure”, a story is Chapters → Scenes. Double-click a scene in the graph to open its timeline and add a video to the playlist track.
Step 3: add a choice
Add a spot (clickable button) on the timeline and set its “jump scene”. Two spots pointing at different scenes = one branching choice.
Step 4: preview
Hit the play button in the toolbar to play your work in the real engine — WYSIWYG, what you preview is what ships.
